The Expedition Plan
Part I: The Redcoat Invasion (Savin Rock, West Haven) Stand where the British landed in 1779. We’ll trace the steps of General Garth’s troops, visit the legendary lookout of Thomas Painter, and share the gripping story of Adjutant Campbell - the enemy officer who became a local hero. Right up to the first defense of New Haven at West River.
