What sets Tag Along Tours East walks apart?

This isn't a dry lecture. Expect deep dives into the scandals of the Gilded Age, the secrets of Revolutionary spies, and the gritty reality of Colonial life. We keep our groups intimate so you can ask questions and actually see the landmarks we’re discussing. Full itineraries are provided for each tour.

Tours typically run 2 to 3 hours. We move at a comfortable, steady pace with several stops for storytelling and photos. Specific timing adjustments for unique events are clearly detailed within each tour description page.

Are these excursions mobility-friendly?

While we prioritize accessible paths, please note that historic districts often contain rugged cobblestones and uneven paths and inclines. Reach out beforehand to discuss how we can best accommodate your visit.

What essentials should I bring along?

Please wear supportive footwear and dress for the weather. Staying hydrated is key, so bring water and prepare your thoughts for a deep dive into East Coast oral histories.

Transportation

This is a walking tour. Unless otherwise noted, guests are responsible for their own transportation to the meeting point and from the tour’s end point. You will receive a specific GPS pin/directions and landmark description via email 24 hours before your tour.

Climate

Tours operate light rain or shine! If extreme weather forces a cancellation, you will be notified at least 2 hours in advance for a full refund or reschedule.

Which landmarks will be featured on the itinerary?

Each trek is a specialized passage into the era of the 13 colonies, Revolutionary War, and more. We traverse old maritime hubs and districts where historic figures once resided. We plan to eventually bridge all 13 states with our narrative walks, including virtual options and expansions into the Gilded Age, ensuring the rich tapestry of the American past is accessible to everyone interested in our national evolution.

How would you describe the atmosphere of the events?

We believe the past is most vibrant when explored on foot, allowing you to walk in the footsteps of those who came before. Here is what to expect during your journey:

Engaging Narratives: We skip the dry facts in favor of fascinating tales from Early American and Revolutionary intrigue to Civil War and Gilded Age society.

Personalized Groups: Small attendance numbers ensure you have a front-row seat to every landmark and plenty of time for dialogue with your guide.

Photography: Your guide knows the best angles! We build in time for you to capture the perfect shot of the East Coast's most historic spots.

Lasting Gifts: Each participant receives a Limited Edition Commemorative Pass. Our Founders Circle members also gain access to a digital Field Guide with curated readings and vintage maps to explore long after the walk concludes. Details are in each booking event.
